Today at 4:25 p.m. ET, the St. Louis Rams (5-7) and Arizona Cardinals (7-5) take the field against each other live from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona. The game can be live streamed here. St. Louis fans can hear all of the action on WXOS 101.1 FM while Arizona fans can do the same on 92.3 FM KTAR.
Arizona enters play looking for its fifth win in six games while St. Louis enters play having had their playoff hopes all but dashed last week.
The Cardinals are coming off of a 24-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles that had the team questioning the officials by the end of it as coach Bruce Arians said he sent "about 15 plays" to the NFL for review. Arians said he believes the referees could have possibly cost his team a playoff berth.
"It possibly could, but I think a lot of things have to happen here in the last four weeks," said Arians of the officiating, via ESPN "I would hope that we give up all that talk this week and just focus on the St. Louis Rams."
The Rams were feeling great after winning two games in a row by dominant fashion, but the team received a severe wakeup call in the form of the San Francisco 49ers last week, when it lost 23-13 and fell three games behind the 49ers with just four left to play.
"I look at it like we could have helped ourselves out a lot," receiver Chris Givens said via ESPN. "If we played cleaner football or better football, we would have been in a better position to win the game."
Receiver Tavon Austin was lighting up the competition in the last few weeks, but was held to just 35 yards and no scores against San Francisco. On the season, Austin has 39 receptions for 409 yards with four scores.
Kellen Clemens threw his first interception in four games last week and is 74-for-145 (51.7%) for 1,019 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions.
Arizona is 5-1 at home, but could be without Andre Ellington (knee) which would mean Rashard Mendenhall should be prominently featured. Mendenhall has rushed for 467 yards on 148 carries while reaching the end zone five times.
Carson Palmer has been solid for the Cardinals in the last three games, and is 274-for-436 (62.8%) for 3,189 yards with 19 touchdowns and 17 interception thus far. The last time these teams met, Larry Fitzgerald had eight catches for 80 yards with two scores. He enters play having reached the end zone four times in his last three games. Fitzgerald has 55 receptions for 678 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
The Rams will look to bounce back from a loss while the Cardinals try to keep their playoff hopes alive when these teams go head-to-head this afternoon in Arizona.
