Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts made his much-awaited NFL debut, although this was spoiled when his team lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 31-21, in Week 1.
Even worse, after suffering an injury, the 21-year-old was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter. The 21-year-old appeared to have suffered a potential lower-body injury, CBS Sports reported.
However, it would immediately be reported in the post-game that the former Florida Gator avoided anything serious and will be fine, according to Colts head coach Shane Steichen in the post-game.

Anthony Richardson told reporters that he suffered a bruised left knee in the loss but will be fine, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. George Minshew filled in for the Florida native after Richardson's exit.
It was an unfortunate development in the game where the Jaguars rallied to pull one over the Colts.
Before the injury, Richardson passed for 223 yards with a touchdown and an interception. This contributed to the Indianapolis Colts leading early in the second half, 21-17.
The Colts' new era off to sour start
In starting a new era with Richardson, it seemed clear that the Colts wanted to get the 21-year-old rolling, the Indy Star reported.
Aware of how the fourth overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft thrived in college, the squad focused on a passing game that unfortunately didn't pan out.
The Jaguars would not be denied, with Trevor Lawrence, Calvin Ridley, and Zay Jones among the players sparking a 31-21 rally in the fourth quarter to help Jacksonville snag their first win of the 2023-24 NFL season.
