Tennis sensation Coco Gauff added another milestone to her young career, advancing to the US Open 2023 Final after bringing down Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic, 6-4, 7-5.
It will be the first US Open singles final for Coco Gauff. Further, it also makes her the latest American to advance at a young age since Serena Williams did the trick in 2001.
At the time, Serena Williams faced off with her sister Venus Williams in the US Open Final after bringing down Martina Hingis, 6-3 and 6-2. However, the elder Williams went on to win it all, 6-2, 6-4, per USTA.com.

Gauff tries to do better this time around. She will face the winner of the other US Open semifinal pairing, pitting Madison Keys of the United States and Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus.
As of this writing, Keys has already won the first set and leads Sabalenka in the second set, 5-3.
It was not an easy win for Gauff, who had to deal with a warm and heavy Thursday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium. This included a 50-minute delay in the match caused by a climate protest in the second set, the New York Times reported.
Despite the delay, the 19-year-old would not be denied a victory. She and Muchova made sure to stay loose in the locker room until their US Open semifinal match could continue, USA Today reported.
It was not the first time that Gauff and Muchova clashed. Both met in the Cincinnati final, with the former winning that encounter.
