Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue provided an update on the health status of their superstar duo, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The 2016 NBA championship head coach told league insiders Marc Stein and Chris Haynes on the #thisleague UNCUT podcast that Leonard and George are on track to be 100 percent fit when training camp starts next month.

"We've just been in an unfortunate situation where our two best players [haven't had] a full season together the last three years, and that's been tough on us," Lue added.

Of the 82 regular season games last year, Leonard only played in 52, while George saw action in 56.

George also missed the entire playoffs with a sprained knee, while Leonard suffered a torn meniscus in the postseason.

The Clippers have yet to breakthrough since acquiring the two stars

There were huge expectations for the superstar duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George when they signed for the Los Angeles Clippers in the summer of 2019.

Leonard was coming off a championship run with the Toronto Raptors, beating the dynasty of the Golden State Warriors in six games en route to Finals MVP honors.

Meanwhile, George finished third in the NBA MVP voting after an incredible regular season, wherein he was named to the First Team All-NBA.

However, the Clippers were only able to reach the Western Conference Finals once in 2021, and the two stars have missed a significant amount of time due to various injuries over the years.
