Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez opened up with his struggles with the dominant RB19 car, poised to become one of the greatest machineries in Formula One history after sweeping the first 13 races of the 2023 season.
The 33-year-old thinks that every driver goes through a career where some upgrades to the car adapt easier to their driving style than others.
"I haven't been able to adapt as quickly as I should and I had to change my driving style a bit to adapt into the car more than in the beginning of the season, when things were coming more naturally," the six-time race winner admitted.
Perez struggled during the middle of the pre-summer break races, failing to reach Q3 in qualifying sessions in five straight races from Monaco to Silverstone.
Recent results have been better for the veteran F1 driver, finishing on the podium in Hungary and Belgium and P4 in the Netherlands.

Sergio Perez's performances criticized
Several F1 figures have taken a jab at Perez's performances this season, including seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who said that reigning champion Max Verstappen would be working harder for his wins if he had the second Red Bull seat.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown said the championship fight would be a classic featuring multiple teams if Red Bull had two Sergio Perezes as their drivers.
Despite the brutal assessment by his peers, Perez is the only driver besides Verstappen to win a race this season, claiming wins in Jeddah and Baku. He is currently second in the Drivers' standings.
