One member of the Philadelphia 76ers is ready in case star James Harden leaves the team, but he doesn't mind if the former NBA MVP makes a U-turn and decides to stay.
Rising star Tyrese Maxey told his own Maxey on the Mic podcast that Harden is a professional doing something for a reason, and he just has to sit back and understand what he's doing as a friend.
However, as a teammate and member of the Philadelphia 76ers organization, he is prepared for whether or not the ten-time NBA All-Star will be with the team.
"If James decided he's going to come back and play for us, there's nobody in this organization that would be upset about that," Maxey said.
The 22-year-old said that this is not the first time the team has experienced this kind of situation, referring to the Ben Simmons saga in 2021, where he held out from team activities and games due to a trade request.

Tyrese Maxey ready for role adjustments
If the Sixers find a way to get rid of Harden, it will unquestionably put more workload on Maxey. But the former Kentucky player is looking forward to the challenge.
Maxey shared that his father and Kentucky head coach John Calipari have taught him to play either on the ball or off the ball, enabling him to be adaptable in whatever situation he's been thrown into.
