Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry vowed that the franchise's longtime core of himself, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, has a ring left in them, promising to put the Dubs back to championship territory.

"We're the hunter now, not the hunted... this year's the run," the 35-year-old said during a recent appearance in former NBA player Gilbert Arenas' The Gil's Arena Show.

The Warriors are coming off a disappointing championship defense bid during the 2022-23 NBA season, posting a dire 11-30 record on the road and 44-38 overall, good for sixth in the Western Conference just a few games out of a play-in spot.

The 2022-23 season started on the wrong foot for Golden State

The campaign started on a sour note after veteran forward Draymond Green punched young star Jordan Poole during a preseason practice session.

The incident was the beginning of a decline in the chemistry between the whole team, according to Shaun Livingston, a former Dubs player who was a member of the team's front office last season.

The regular season was inconsistent, and it took the team seven games to get past playoff-returnees Sacramento Kings during the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

They eventually fell in six games to LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.
