Two of the biggest offseason stories that remain unsolved might finally reach their conclusions through a suggested mock trade involving each other.

Dallas Mavericks fansite Smoke The Cuban, powered by FanSided, has created a hypothetical trade that could shift the league landscape while resolving the James Harden and Damian Lillard trade request sagas.

The piece written by Jack Simone suggested the following four-team trade, which involves nine players and five future draft picks, with three of them as first-round picks and two pick swaps.

Dallas Mavericks receive: James Harden

Miami Heat receive: Damian Lillard, Maxi Kleber, Furkan Korkmaz

Philadelphia 76ers receive: Tyler Herro, Tim Hardaway Jr., 2029 first-round pick swap (via MIA)

Portland Trail Blazers receive: Kyle Lowry, Jaden Hardy, Jaime Jaquez Jr., 2027 first-round pick swap (via MIA), 2027 first-round pick (via DAL), 2028 first-round pick (via MIA), 2030 first-round pick (via MIA)

With this trade, the Sixers would get a decent package for their disgruntled star, who reportedly does not plan to attend training camp.

Shooting guard Tyler Herro, who won the 2022 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, as well as a decent long-distance shooter in Tim Hardaway Jr., could all be the help that reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid needs to lead The City of Brotherly Love to their first NBA championship since 1983.

On the other hand, the Heat will finally land the star they have coveted all summer, with Lillard reciprocating interest ever since he requested a trade out of Portland after 11 seasons at the beginning of this year's free agency.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks will add a third superstar in their roster in former MVP James Harden, following their franchise superstar, 2023 All-NBA First Team member Luka Doncic and the recent acquisition of multiple-time All-Star Kyrie Irving last February during last season's trade deadline.

The Mavs have had a busy offseason, trying to boost their roster with multiple moves such as adding former Celtics forward Grant Williams and guard Seth Curry, as well as re-signing Irving and big man Dwight Powell to long-term deals after missing out on last year's play-in tournament despite boasting two of the best players in the league.

Trail Blazers will get the desired windfall for longtime superstar

On the other hand, the Trail Blazers will get a decent haul for their franchise's all-time leading scorer, getting great pieces for rebuilding, such as solid young players in shooting guard Jaden Hardy and Mexican-American wing Jaime Jacquez Jr, who was recently selected in this year's draft with the 18th overall pick.

Aside from the two players, Portland will receive three first-round picks to build for the future and an additional first-round pick swap.

The team will also have a veteran presence in 2019 NBA champion Kyle Lowry to provide mentorship to Portland's youth movement, which already has this year's third overall pick Scoot Henderson and last year's lottery pick Shaedon Sharpe, among many others.
