Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has given his thoughts about the importance of his teammate Kevon Looney in their roster, stating that he deserves one of the biggest honors a basketball player can get.

Responding to a previous tweet from a Klay Thompson fan account from months ago, which stated that Looney's number 5 jersey deserves to hang at the rafters of Chase Center, Green agreed with the sentiment.

"Only Facts," the defensive anchor of the Dubs dynasty said on his Instagram story.

The original tweet also pertained to former Seattle Supersonics/Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Nick Collison, who had his number 4 retired by the team for spending 15 years with the franchise despite not having any significant accolades.

The fan account argued that Looney had already achieved more than Collison in eight seasons with the Warriors. The 27-year-old has won three championships with Golden State.

The power forward-center also stated his intentions to remain with the Bay Area team for the rest of his career.

Draymond Green doubles down on Kevon Looney praise

The fiesty Warriors forward already praised his teammate a month ago during an appearance on the Podcast P Show with Paul George.

Green commended Looney for adjusting his playing style according to the team's needs while continuing to improve his game after undergoing three hip surgeries early in his career.

"[Looney] is the most professional person, player, you name it, I have ever worked it. Never late. Never gives anyone something to complain, or be upset about. Doesn't complain about anything. Does his job plus some," Green added.
