Tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET, the Phoenix Coyotes (16-8-4, 36 points) and Vancouver Canucks (15-10-5, 35 points) faceoff live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver for the second of five meetings this season. Phoenix enters play in fourth place in the Pacific Division and will have to beat the Canucks to stay ahead of them in the division while Vancouver will look for their third straight win. The first time these two teams met, the Coyotes topped the Canucks 3-2 in a shootout in Phoenix on Nov. 5.

The Coyotes are coming off of a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Calgary Flames on Wednesday and will look to bounce back.

Phoenix has been led by Radim Vrbata, who has 24 points off of nine goals and 15 assists while captain Shane Doan has 12 tallies and 11 assists for 23 points and Martin Hanzal has found the twine eight times while adding 14 helpers for 22 points.

The Canucks notched their second straight victory with a win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday by a score of 3-1.

Henrik Sedin has led Vancouver with 28 points off of seven goals and 21 points while his brother Daniel Sedin has lit the lamp 10 times and added 16 helpers for 26 points and Ryan Kesler has found the back of the net 14 times and added eight assists for 22 points and has consecutive multi-goal games.

One day after losing Alexandre Burrows to a broken jaw, the Canucks lost Alexander Edler to a leg injury Tuesday.

"We got a little [update] this morning but it's the same, [Alexander] is still being evaluated," assistant coach Glen Gulutzan told NHL.com. "He is out indefinitely, but still being evaluated by our guys today again."

In net, Roberto Luongo is 12-8-5 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage for Vancouver this season while Mike Smith has backstopped Phoenix to a 13-6-4 record with a 3.02 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

The Coyotes look to stay ahead of their opponents in the standings while the Canucks try to notch a third straight victory when the puck drops at Rogers Arena tonight in Vancouver.
