British team McLaren is taking every step to ensure their weekend at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps goes smoothly, including banning Nico Rosberg from taking selfies within their premises.
The 2016 Formula 1 world champion famously jinxed reigning champion Max Verstappen and former teammate Lewis Hamilton last week at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Before the qualifying session in Budapest last Saturday, Rosberg posted a selfie outside of Verstappen's garage at Red Bull.
Following the photo, the Dutchman lost out pole position by three-thousandths of a second to Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, ending his streak of six consecutive starts at the front of the grid.
Before Sunday's race, Rosberg took a photo of himself outside Hamilton's garage, cheering for his former team Mercedes in the caption of his Instagram post.
During the race, Hamilton dropped from P1 to P4 during the first corner after a battle with Verstappen during launch, which the two McLaren drivers took advantage of. Hamilton finished fourth in the Grand Prix.
Nico Rosberg responds to McLaren's new rule
The 38-year-old former driver made a hilarious response to the papaya team's new rule around its garage, threatening to even travel to the McLaren Technology Centre factory at Woking, Surrey, England.
"haha...heading to your factory for a selfie," Rosberg tweeted.
The team answered back with a photo of their rookie driver Oscar Pisatri, who looked seemingly alarmed by the 23-time race winner's remarks.
