New York Jets supporters seem to have forgotten that the team and Aaron Rodgers are carrying an unresolved salary issue leading to the training camp amid all the excitement for the new season.
That issue has been resolved now, according to Pro Football Talk, after the four-time MVP agreed on a revised contract.
"The details of the new deal are not yet known, including the important question of whether Rodgers decided to take less than he was due to make over the next two years," the report reads.
"Regardless, the deal is done, in principle and subject to signature."
The star quarterback, who is supposed to get more than $100 million in two seasons, agreed to a two-year deal with $75 million guaranteed through 2024. This means the Jets will have more flexibility to sign more marquee players.

Rodgers moved to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers with his $58.3 million option bonus for 2023. The trade became easier on the Packers' part, and Rodgers was supposed to get paid $1.165 million in the new season by the Jets, followed by a whopping compensation package of $107.55 million the next year.
Rodgers and Jets marriage for multiple seasons?
While the details of his contract remain unknown, the 39-year-old quarterback has repeatedly dropped hints that playing for multiple seasons for the Jets is an option.
"I'm not a big cliche guy," Rodgers said during an interview with 98.7 ESPN Radio.
"Most people would say 'I'm taking this one day at a time or one year at a time,' but the Jets gave up a lot for me, so to play just one year would be, I think, a disservice, but if that one year turns out to be a magical year, who knows?"
