There were proposals for the Los Angeles Angels to trade away their superstar Shohei Ohtani and that would lead to the possibility of them winning the league in five years.

Of course, that kind of deal should include bankable players, ones that can serve as cornerstones and can become future All-Stars.

How about two Top 20 prospects at once?

MLB experts via ESPN have something Angels and San Francisco Giants fans might want to consider.

Given Ohtani's gravity, it is only fitting that he will pull in not just future draft picks but also great veterans. Ohtani is a two-way player, a rare kind, and it should only be right that the Angels should get something similar.

ESPN's sound proposal

For that, Jesse Rogers proposed to send LHP Kyle Harrison, SS Marco Luciano, LHP/DH Reggie Crawford, and OF Mike Yastrzemski.

"It's painful to give up two top-20 prospects in Harrison and Luciano, but a San Francisco trade for Ohtani isn't just about 2023," Rogers said.

"This gives the Giants a leg up on signing him long-term. We already know they have money to spend -- see their pursuits of Carlos Correa and Aaron Judge for evidence. The Angels get back a few home runs in Yastrzemski while the Giants open up a spot for Joc Pederson to play the outfield when Ohtani is the designated hitter."

Jeff Pasan sees this as a promising trade but thinks it is a little weak. And so, the Giants should throw in Luis Matos, Casey Schmitt, and Blake Sabol, too.

That's a lot of players. What do you think? Go or not?
