Which one is harder for athletes: losing weight or getting bigger?

Nate Diaz is preparing for his boxing fight against celebrity Jake Paul, and his regiment is mostly focused on gaining more pounds to make the weight.

This will be Diaz's boxing debut, and he will fight at the cruiserweight. He is older and lighter than Paul, and gaining weight is one way to offset that.

However, his weight gain training is having a different effect on him.

"I've been eating a lot of food and getting heavier," he said during an appearance on the Raw Talk podcast.

"I did feel [slower] at first when I was eating and trying to get big because I was on a weight gain diet, eating all kinds of stuff to get as big as I could.

"To a certain point I was like 'Dude, I'm lazy and tired and I'm working out like a meathead right now.' I was lifting weights, bodybuilding and all that stuff. It made me tired and lazy from carrying the extra weight, just made me drowsy."

Who's the favorite to win?

Diaz must overcome his weight to be in the ring with Paul. That's just one of the obstacles he needs to overcome.

Paul is currently the overwhelming favorite against the former UFC fighter, wherein a bet of $270 will win $100 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Youtuber has fought against former mixed martial artists and topped them all. His only loss came against pro boxer Tommy Fury.
