It's a long time coming, but Le'Veon Bell finally addressed Pittsburgh Steelers fans who were left sad and disappointed over how he exited his first NFL team.
Bell was drafted by Steelers in 2013 and was well on his way to becoming one of the league's best in his position and massive deal, but things turned out differently.
He became a fan favorite, but that relationship was cut short. Now, he apologizes to Steelers fans, adding that he should have stayed in Pittsburgh.
"No, I didn't want to leave Pittsburgh," Bell said via Snapchat.

The clip, now all over Twitter, responded to a user named "Pete" who asked for an apology to make it "even."
"Because, at the end of the day, that's where I was at. It was like, that's where I got drafted, right? You know, I've gotten requests to come on podcasts and all the know, but really you're right. I never apologized to the fans and they really should know. For leaving the Steelers, I never apologized. I want to say that I apologize for leaving the best damn fans in this world. I shouldn't have left."
What happened after Pittsburgh?
Pittsburgh Steelers placed the franchise tag on Bell in 2018, but the player seemed to have a different thing in mind as he refused to sign the deal worth $14.5 million.
He did not report to the training camp by July 16, missed the first nine games, and eventually sat out the whole season.
He was picked up by the New York Jets but did not regain his top form that warranted a franchise tag.
He became a journeyman since then, having played for less than a season on average for Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
He is now a boxer with a 1-1 record.
