Kansas City Chief quarterback Patrick Mahomes is arguably the biggest star right now in the National Football League, and handling the fame that comes with it might be a little too heavy for some.

Good thing he has teammates Alex Smith and Travis Kelce to guide him in handling different facets of life as an American football star.

Talking to Sporting News, the two-time Super Bowl MVP shared how the duo seems to have different roles to fulfill for him.

Smith is the one he goes to for family advice, while Kelce is his partner in handling his celebrity status.

"I try to find the medium in between there," Mahomes said.

"I don't want to be as crazy as Travis, but I want to be a little more adventurous than Alex. It's a fine line. You want to make sure you prepare your body the whole entire time but go out and enjoy the offseason. You only get a couple months and you're right back to football."

Becoming an All-time athlete

Mahomes, who just won the ESPY Best Athlete in Men's Sports over football superstar Lionel Messi and NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic, is looking forward to a long career.

Who does he want to emulate?

"LeBron has done a great job of not only being one of the top two if not the best basketball player of all time and he's one of the best businessmen of all time," Mahomes said.

"You look at Michael Jordan. He was almost before his time of how he was able to create a business for himself. You look at guys like Alex Rodriguez and the business he put together for himself."
