The world's greatest player rode a private jet, and he was accompanied by his wife Antonela and their three sons - ten-year-old Thiago, seven-year-old Mateo, and five-year-old Ciro.
Although the 36-year-old already announced his intentions to move to the MLS last month, no contract has been signed yet.
The club plans to unveil Messi as an official Inter Miami player in the coming days.
Inter Miami season-ticket holders were invited to sign up for free tickets for an event called "The Unveil," held on July 16, Sunday. It is unclear if Messi's introduction will be at the event, as the club also acquired his former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets.
Miami's Leagues Cup fixture against Cruz Azul on July 21 is the target debut match for the recent World Cup winner.

Fans nationwide are ready to see the legendary athlete play on American soil.
Boxes full of Inter Miami kits bearing Messi's name were spotted outside DRV PNK Stadium, the club's home in Fort Lauderdale.
Adidas' flagship store in New York City is already filled with Inter Miami kits and posters of the Argentine.
Restaurant chain Hard Rock Cafe also released a special chicken sandwich in honor of the footballer.
