The Sacramento Kings have signed Domantas Sabonis to a five-year deal worth $217 million, which includes $195 million in new money, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The starting center of the most efficient offense in NBA history had one year remaining in his four-year contract signed with the Pacers worth $77 million in total and $22 million for the 2023-24 season.
Sacramento renegotiated Sabonis' 2023-24 salary up to $30.6 million before adding four more years on top of it to keep him in California's state capital until 2028.
Sabonis was acquired by the Kings from the Indiana Pacers during the middle of the 2021-22 NBA season in a surprising trade that saw Sacramento give up rising star Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Tristan Thompson. The move is now considered a win-win for both teams.

Domantas Sabonis Helped Sacramento Snap Playoff Drought
Alongside point guard De'Aaron Fox, Sabonis was crucial for the Kings during the 2022-23 NBA season, wherein they finished third in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record, snapping their NBA record of 17 years without making the postseason.
Sabonis was named in his third All-Star game and first All-NBA honors, making the Third Team.
The Lithuanian averaged 19.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, and career-highs 7.3 assists and 61.5% shooting from the field.
The 27-year-old led the league in rebounds and double-doubles and had the second most triple-doubles last season.
However, the defending champions, Golden State Warriors, eliminated the Kings in a hard-fought seven-game series in the first round.
