Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is open to an official return to the boxing ring, but only under the right circumstances, according to his MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons.
Gibbons said on Philippine radio station Radyo5's Power & Play program that there had been a lot of inquiries about the 44-year-old legend from the Middle East. Pacquiao also has plans to fight in Japan and Indonesia.
The sport's only eight-division champion is currently staying in shape by playing basketball, but the MP Promotions president believes that his boss is looking for a proper fight that will catch his attention.
"He still feels he has a lot left to give to the sport, so he's retired at the moment. But if the right opportunity comes up, I think you'll see him back in the ring," Gibbons said.
He also mentioned that people asked him for different proposals every day.
"People inquire, they talk about Manny fighting Ryan Garcia, or whoever. Manny's ready. Somebody comes with the right package, Manny is ready to beat someone up."

Manny Pacquiao Will Still Continue Fighting
After officially retiring from formal boxing competition following his unanimous decision defeat against Yordenis Ugas in August 2021, Pacquiao fought in an exhibition match against South Korean YouTuber DK Yoo in December 2022.
The Filipino unanimously won the six-round exhibition bout held in South Korea.
Gibbons believes that we will continue to see Pacquiao compete in those types of matches in the future.
Aside from being boxing's only eight-division champion, Pacquiao is the only fighter to hold world titles in four decades.
