Patrick Beverly's podcast is turning out to be a mine for weird takes.
After Karl Anthony Towns proclaimed himself as the big man who changed the game, it is now the turn of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas to stun fans with his hot take.
The Washington Wizards legend appeared on The Pat Bev Podcast and discussed the issues hounding the young NBA superstars, specifically Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant and New Orleans Pelicans' Zion Williamson.
The discussion circled why many NBA players end up with strippers and IG models. Arenas said this is because their free time falls at the exact time that other women with different jobs are unavailable.
"We have all the free time while everybody's at work," he said.
"So if you're not married... think about the other sex that's free between noon and seven o'clock: Strippers, Instagram models that ain't got s-t to do in life. They be like, 'How come y'all ain't meeting a nice lady?' S-t, they're at work when we're out... By the time we meet, we're meeting at the club. Now we really gotta guess which one is which. Other than that, our schedules match up with the worst people, the worst women in life."
Arenas wants to mentor Ja Morant
Aside from the issue of Williamson, Arenas also commented on Morant's off-court problems.
He even offered to mentor the embattled Grizzlies star.
Arenas, who once played for the Grizzlies, also think the 25-game suspension for the high-flying guard over his second offense is too harsh.
Arenas himself dealt with suspension because of a gun-related violation, so this is another weird take from him.
