Max Verstappen once again pulled off a sublime weekend as he claimed his fourth consecutive victory and sixth overall this season in the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

The Dutchman led all 70 laps after starting the race in pole position. Teammate Sergio Perez pulled off the fastest lap of the race.

Verstappen equaled the career win total of 41 by the late Ayrton Senna, who tragically died in an accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. They are both the fifth-winningest drivers in F1 history.

The Brazilian star, who won three world titles throughout a 10-year career, is widely regarded as among the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time.

Red Bull is running away with the Constructors' title, having not conceded any races this season so far after notching their 100th victory as a team in Canada.

The energy drink company has won 18 of the last 19 Formula 1 races dating back to last year's French Grand Prix in July 2022.

Canadian Grand Prix Podium is the Most Decorated in F1 History

Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton completed the podium to form the highest podium tally in F1 history. The trio surpassed their own feat during the 2023 Australian Grand Prix and the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix.

The three are also the only drivers in the grid to hold a world title, with 11 championships combined.

They were joined by another successful name on the podium when Red Bull Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey joined the champagne-popping tradition. He is responsible for the design of 11 cars that won the Drivers' title and 12 cars that claimed the Constructors' title.
