Toni Kroos has expressed optimism about the signing of English midfielder Jude Bellingham amidst fears that the expensive young star might become a flop, too.
Los Blancos has made official Bellingham's transfer to Bernabeu from Borussia Dortmund after the unveiling of the English player in the presence of Real Madrid executives on June 15.
Bellingham became the only seventh player to join the prestigious soccer club. He is also their second-most-expensive transfer ever at $113 million.
The 22-year-old midfielder's transfer garnered both excitement and nervousness among fans.

However, Kroos is quick to calm down the negativities saying he fully trusts the club's decisions.
"Jude is a very top player, who many teams wanted due to his quality and age," said Kroos, the only remaining from the three-peat UCL winners.
"I usually have great confidence in our decision-makers. If Real Madrid has spent so much, this is a very good transfer for us."
Hazard let his career die
Kroos also recognized that doubts stem from the failed signing of Eden Hazard, the club's most expensive signing.
Kroos called out the Belgian winger suggesting he let his career die.
"We had another player who came for a lot of money and basically let his career die. It was a lot of money, I think everyone would say that wasn't a good transfer. But let's be positive."
Hazard was signed by Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2019 for $127 million, one of the most hyped transfers of that year and the decade.
However, the partnership between the 2018-2019 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season and the most decorated soccer club ever was not that productive, mostly on the part of Hazard.
Overall, the Belgian only made 54 appearances for the club and scored four goals before Los Blancos officially terminated his contract on June 3, 2023.
