Former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas made a bold take on JJ Redick's The Old Man & The Three podcast regarding what will happen with Nikola Jokic if he wins an NBA championship.

The Denver Nuggets are currently four wins away from achieving this goal, which would be the first title in franchise history if it happens.

JJ Redick, Gilbert Arenas Discuss NBA Marketing to Next Generation Fans

The former Wizards star claimed no one would care if Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets won the NBA championship. He claimed that the pinpoint passing big man would not go from where he is right now to a super megastar.

The 2003 NBA Most Improved Player's reasoning was that the Serbian is currently not doing what kids want to see. Arenas also noted that the NBA is all about players and personality, and the reigning Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP does not have the "it" factor.

Arenas did not want to discredit the two-time MVP's on-court feats and only spoke from a marketing perspective. Agent Zero still believes that Jokic is great as a player.

The three-time All-Star also thought this was similar to what people thought about Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs during their five championship runs, who were called boring.

Redick and Arenas were discussing what the NBA should do to market the game to the next generation of NBA fans.

Redick believes that the league should be able to cater to casual fans, and they are at crossroads right now on how to figure out selling the NBA going forward.
