Lakers superstar LeBron James was already preparing in the Crypto.com Arena by early afternoon on Monday, hours before Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets tips off.

The Lakers are currently down 0-3 in the series and are on the verge of a playoff exit.

Denver Nuggets Prepares for Trophy Presentation

On the other side of the same court where James was practicing, a different type of preparation was taking place.

Officials from the league and broadcast network ESPN called Denver Nuggets players, coaches, and team staff to show up in the arena early afternoon for rehearsals for the Western Conference Finals trophy presentation, which they are on the verge of claiming.

It isn't far-fetched to say that the Nuggets could do it tonight, given their convincing wins in the first three games.

The league holds a trophy presentation for the winners of each conference before they embark on their journey to the NBA Finals. Commemorative hats, shirts, and other merchandise are also commonplace.

With a win in Game 4, Denver could claim the second Oscar Robertson Trophy, the hardware given to the winners of the Western Conference starting last year as part of an overhaul of league awards to commemorate the NBA's 75th anniversary, as per NBC Sports.

Meanwhile, the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals Most Valuable Player award will be given to the best-performing player of the winning team in the series.
