This as Ireland youngster Harry Tector's remarkable run continues, posting a career-best 140 in the second match of the 50-over series against Bangladesh in Chelmsford.

Ending the series as the leading run-getter with 206 runs, Tector climbed up the ladder in the latest ODI rankings for batters due to his performance, displacing the renowned Indian star Kohli to become a top-10 batter in the world.

Fellow Indian sensation Shubman Gill, who Kohli praised recently on social media after his first IPL century, is ranked fifth. Pakistani great Babar Azam retains his spot on top of the star-studded list.
Tector achieved the highest rank ever by an Irish batter in history after a massive jump of 72 rating points at just 23 years of age.
Since the beginning of 2022, the right-handed batter has been sublime, smashing 769 runs in 13 innings, including four centuries and four half-centuries at an average of 76.90 and a strike rate of 90.89.
The Irish star's 80.71 batting average, with a minimum of 500 runs, is the highest in ODI for the past 12 months.
The Dublin native made his debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2019.
