Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo recently made a bold statement on social media, expressing his frustration over not being voted for the NBA's all-defensive teams.

In a strongly worded Instagram post and tweet, he declared, "I'm tired of the disrespect. I'm coming."

This is a rare show of fiery passion from Antetokounmpo, who is known for his lighthearted demeanor during press conferences.

Bucks, One of the Best Defensive Teams

Antetokounmpo has been part of the first and second defensive teams every year except one since the 2016-17 season. However, this year, despite receiving 16 first-team votes and 28 second-team votes, he did not make it to either team.

The Bucks, on the other hand, had two first-teamers, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez, and were one of the best defensive teams in the NBA this season.

Although Antetokounmpo was sixth in the Defensive Player of the Year voting this season, it was different in the all-defensive teams. He won the award in 2019-20.

The Bucks were one of the best defensive teams this season, but this was not enough to help Milwaukee in the playoffs against the Miami Heat, as they allowed 124 points per game in their five-game first-round upset loss.

Apart from the defensive awards, Antetokounmpo was also left out of the MVP award. He finished third in the voting, despite being in the top five in scoring and rebounding.
