Mack Beggs vs. Jake Shields Fight Details

In response to former UFC fighter Jake Shields' challenge to fight against the toughest transgender male fighters, Mack Beggs, a transgender male fighter, has accepted the challenge.

However, Beggs has rejected Shields' offer of fighting against 10 trans men simultaneously, claiming that it is disrespectful to the sport of MMA to "whoop" them.

Instead, Beggs has requested a one-on-one match with Shields, insisting that if he is going to call himself a fighter, he should do it right.

Beggs has also defended trans fighters against Shields and those who think like him, stating that they have a "fetish" for transgender people and forget that trans fighters are also out there and ready to fight. He has specifically directed his message at Shields, stating that he will "f---" him up.

Shields has seen Beggs' challenge and is ready to go. He has asked Beggs or his team to contact him so they can start putting their team together.

Shields has also joked that Bud Light would sponsor the trans fighters, making a dig at the beer company's partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Shields tweeted on Friday with a facepalm emoji, stating that Beggs thinks he can beat him in a fight. He seems ready to take on Beggs and unafraid to throw a virtual jab.

Mack Beggs' Transition

During high school, Mack Beggs was transitioning and was forced to wrestle against girls due to state rules.

Despite the controversy surrounding the use of testosterone during the transition, Beggs won the Texas girls' 110-pound championship in 2017 and 2018 against the same opponent, Chelsea Sanchez.

Beggs had an unbeaten record of 79-0 over those two years. However, several potential opponents chose to forfeit matches against Beggs because the wrestler took testosterone supplements.

After high school, Beggs did not pursue collegiate wrestling due to surgery.
