Manchester City's new signing, Erling Haaland, has had a dream debut season and has made history by breaking the all-time Premier League record for goals in a season.

The 22-year-old forward broke Mohamed Salah's record of 32 goals in a 38-match season last month and then matched the overall record of 34 goals held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, which were achieved in 42-game seasons, on Sunday.

During a match against West Ham on Wednesday, Haaland surpassed this record. He has set a new record for the highest number of goals scored in a single season of the Premier League.

Erling Haaland's Impressive Statistics

Haaland has amassed an impressive set of statistics throughout his season. He has surpassed the single-season goalscoring record of Manchester City and has also broken the record set by Salah and Ruud van Nistelrooy of scoring 44 goals across all competitions in a season.

At present, he has scored 51 goals and has equaled the record for most goals scored in a single match in the Champions League.

He achieved this feat by scoring five goals against RB Leipzig in the round of 16, joining the likes of Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano.

Haaland's impressive performance has been instrumental in Manchester City's pursuit of a historic treble. Manchester City is currently competing with Arsenal for the league title and is set to play against their rival Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3. Furthermore, they will face Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals.
