Draymond Green, who had previously crowned LeBron James as his greatest of all time (GOAT) only four months ago, has now declared his teammate Stephen Curry the undisputed basketball GOAT.
Green believes that Curry's confidence sets him apart and that there is no debate about his greatness.
Stephen Curry was Draymond Green's 4th in his GOAT List
While in December, Green had ranked Curry as fourth in his top five GOAT list, behind James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant, he now sees Curry as the greatest basketball player ever.
When asked about his previous ranking, Green did not explain Curry's rise to the top or why James, Jordan, and Bryant had been surpassed in his estimation.
However, Green's views may change again, especially since both James and Curry's teams are set to play each other in the second round of the playoffs if they both win their respective series.
During his earlier argument for James as the GOAT, Green praised James' consistency and longevity in the NBA, noting that he has been the best player in the league for a long time.
He also argued that James had beaten the greatest team assembled during the 2016 NBA Finals when he led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a historic comeback against the Golden State Warriors.
Additionally, Green stated that James possesses a unique skill set that no other player in NBA history has had, including Michael Jordan.
However, as the playoffs continue and James and Curry face-off, Green's opinion may change again.
