Anthony Edwards, the prominent player of the Minnesota Timberwolves, faced repercussions due to his behavior after their defeat against Denver Nuggets in Game 5 on Tuesday.

Timberwolves Bus Held Up
Following his failure to make a game-tying triple at the end of the match, Edwards hastily headed toward the tunnel without acknowledging the Nuggets. While sprinting away, he was filmed grabbing a chair and swinging it in frustration. Unfortunately, he ended up hitting a female security guard and another female worker with the chair, causing them injuries. Both women have reportedly expressed their intention to press charges.
The authorities in Denver were summoned and detained the Timberwolves team bus after the game to issue a citation to Anthony Edwards. According to Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports, the Minnesota guard was charged with third-degree assault. While it is unclear what penalty he may face, it is important to note that in Colorado, third-degree assault can carry a sentence of up to 18 months in prison and a fine of $1,000.
Anthony Edwards has not yet commented on the accusations of assault, but the Minnesota Timberwolves have released a statement that they are gathering more information. They have not provided any additional comments on the matter at this time.
The Western Conference semifinals will see the Denver Nuggets competing against the Phoenix Suns, a repeat of their encounter during the 2021 playoffs. During that series, Phoenix emerged victorious in the conference semifinals, resulting in them facing the Clippers in the Western finals.
