In Game 4 of the Boston Celtics versus the Atlanta Hawks match, Jaylen Brown showed a new level of energy that helped his team clinch a 129-121 victory.

With Atlanta having momentum going into the game, Boston needed a response, and Brown played a significant role in that effort. However, this effort could be attributed to a move he made off the court.

Jaylen Brown Needed a Different Look

At the beginning of the game, Brown sported a face mask as a precautionary measure. But in the second quarter, with 9:02 remaining, he removed his mask, marking the game's turning point. Brown scored only two points with the mask on and shot 1-of-7 from the field. Without it, Brown scored 29 points and shot 11-of-15, including a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.

Brown explained to reporters that he took off the mask because he needed a different look, and as soon as he did so, things started to turn around. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla also commented on the impact of Brown's move, saying that he showed tremendous poise on the offensive end and made the right plays for himself and his teammates.

Brown's remarkable playoff display was brought about by a crucial moment, as he scored 31 points and had four rebounds and three assists, which was his most impressive performance in the playoffs so far.

Marcus Smart also commented that Brown's mask removal marked a different JB and that he would carry the team to victory, which he did.

Overall, Brown's decision to remove his mask served as a premonition for a pivotal lead to the finish line from Brown and Jayson Tatum in Boston's victory. It showed the importance of a change in mindset and approach in sports.

With the win, the Celtics now have a commanding 3-1 series-leading position, and they have a chance to close the series in Game 5 on Tuesday night at TD Garden.
