Shaquille O'Neal has openly expressed his belief that Angel Reese, the star player for LSU's women's basketball team, is the greatest athlete in the school's history.
On a recent episode of his podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq, he confidently stated that Reese is superior to himself and even to Joe Burrow, the former LSU quarterback who won both the national title and Heisman Trophy in 2019.

Shaq acknowledged that he could be considered among the school's best athletes, but in his opinion, Reese's championship win made her the ultimate choice.
Reese was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA tournament after leading LSU to victory in the national championship. This season, she averaged 23 points and 15.4 rebounds per game. Her 34 double-doubles are an all-time Division I women's basketball record.
Despite only playing for LSU for one year after transferring from Maryland, she made a significant impact on the school's fans.
