March 30 was the 2023 MLB season's opening day, and as of this writing, the Tampa Bay Rays have not lost a game. They won their 10th game on Monday, with a score of 1-0 against the Boston Red Sox, making them one of only seven teams in Major League Baseball (MLB) history to start the season with 10 consecutive wins.

Third-longest in Rays' franchise history

The Rays' winning streak is the third-longest in their franchise history, with Brandon Lowe hitting a home run in the eighth inning and Pete Fairbanks securing the victory.

Although the teams they have faced so far, such as the Tigers, Nationals, and A's, are not expected to perform well this season, the Rays have defeated them convincingly, winning each of their first nine games by at least four runs and having a run differential of plus-57.

Their run differential has increased to plus-58, with 25 home runs hit and only 18 runs allowed. This makes the Rays the first team since 1987 to begin the season with a 10-0 record, and they need three more wins to tie the MLB record for the best start — a record set by the 1982 Atlanta Braves and 1987 Milwaukee Brewers.
