The Golden State Warriors returned home with a bang on Monday, beating the Sacramento Kings, 113-98, at Chase Center. It was a huge bounce-back win for the Warriors, who lost by 19 points in their previous game against the Toronto Raptors. Six players scored in double figures for the Warriors, who improved their record to 25-6.
Curry, Green lead Warriors in home win
Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State, scoring 30 points on 13 of 27 shooting from the field. The fans in attendance showered the Warriors gunner with praise as this was his first game back in the Bay Area since breaking Ray Allen's record for most three-pointers in the NBA. The Warriors were in the midst of a five-game road trip when Curry broke the mark at Madison Square Garden.
Curry was not that accurate from deep in the win against Sacramento, knocking down just four of his 12 3-point attempts. He got some help, though, from Draymond Green, who recorded his franchise-leading 31st career triple-double against the Kings. Green scored 16 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in 33 minutes of action.
The Warriors are a highly-successful unit when Green is a triple-double machine. They are 30-1 in games where Green has notched a triple-double. Green needed to increase his productivity against the Kings as the Warriors were ravaged by COVID-19 heading into the game. Starters Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole both tested positive for the coronavirus and were placed on the league's health and safety protocols.
Damion Lee stepped up big time in his emergency start, scoring 18 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the floor. He was deadly from beyond the arc, burying all four of his 3-point attempts against Sacramento. Lee also had five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes played.

COVID-19 decimates Kings roster
The Warriors were not the only ones affected by COVID-19 in this contest. Several Kings players were also ruled out of this matchup because of the coronavirus, including De'Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell, Terence Davis, Marvin Bagley III, Alex Len, and Louis King. Richaun Holmes, who suffered a cut inside his right eye last week, was also unavailable for Sacramento.
To make matters worse for the Kings, interim head coach Alvin Gentry also tested positive for COVID-19 and was not available for the game against the Warriors. Doug Christie did an admirable job filling in as the team's temporary head coach, leading the Kings to a furious fightback in the second half against the Warriors.
Sacramento outscored Golden State, 33-26, in the third quarter to trim the deficit to just five points. The Kings lost steam in the final quarter, though, with Golden State winning by 15 points in the end. Tyrese Haliburton paced the shorthanded Kings with 24 points and 11 assists.
