On Wednesday night, the Phoenix Suns extended their winning streak to 14 games with a thrilling 120-115 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Six players scored in double-figures for the surging Suns, who remained one game behind leaders Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference standings.
Booker, Paul star in Suns' win over Cavs
Devin Booker led all scorers with 35 points on 14-of-21 shooting from the field. Chris Paul registered a double-double with 17 points and 12 assists. The veteran point guard sealed the win for the Suns, knocking down four late free throws to ice the game. Deandre Ayton dominated down low for Phoenix with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Head coach Monty Williams' 100th win with the Suns did not come easy, though, with Cleveland putting up a fight the entire night. The Cavs entered the halftime break with a 66-61 lead following a strong second-quarter performance. The Suns opened the fourth quarter with a 13-4 run to build a 10-point lead, but the Cavs came storming back, slicing the deficit to a single point with 3:49 left.
However, the Suns' experience proved to be the difference in the closing minutes, as they matched the third-longest winning streak in club history, which was achieved by the 1992 side. They are now just three wins shy of the franchise record set by the 2006-07 Suns, who won 17 games in a row.

LeBron James dazzles in overtime thriller vs Pacers
In an overtime classic, the Los Angeles Lakers ended their five-game road trip on a winning note, beating the Indiana Pacers, 124-116. LeBron James starred in his return from a one-game suspension, scoring 39 points, including back-to-back 3-pointers in overtime that sealed the victory for the Lake Show.
The Lakers started poorly in this contest with star big man Anthony Davis ruled out because of flu-like symptoms. Fortunately for the Lakers, they had the returning James. He missed the marquee game at Madison Square Garden due to suspension following his swinging elbow on Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart.
James kept the road team in the game, with the Lakers only tasting their first lead with 4:35 remaining in regulation. James then went on a solo 7-0 run late in the fourth to give LA a 110-104 advantage with 76 seconds left. The Pacers fought back, though, ending the game with an 8-2 run of their own to force the extra period.
Indiana only delayed the inevitable, though, with James taking center stage in overtime. He finished the game with six assists and five rebounds. James also shot 13 of 29 from the field, including 5 of 12 from deep.
The win helped the Lakers return to .500 for the season with an even 10-10 record. They finished their road trip with a 2-3 slate, with their wins against Detroit and Indiana.
