Browns vs Pats Week 10 Predictions, Odds, Picks, and Preview: Who Will Start the Season 6-4?

Two AFC teams will square off on Sunday in Week 10 as the Cleveland Browns visit the New England Patriots at the Gillette Stadium. The Pats have fared extremely well against the Browns of late, winning seven of their last eight meetings. Can Mac Jones extend New England's dominance against Cleveland in this Browns vs Pats clash?

Cleveland Browns installed as +1.5 underdogs

The Cleveland Browns will head to their showdown against the New England Patriots with momentum on their side after trouncing the Cincinnati Bengals, 41-16, in Week 9. It was a huge bounce-back win for the Browns, who suffered a gut-wrenching 15-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.

The victory helped the Browns move back above .500 for the season with a 5-4 record, just 1.5 games behind leaders Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North standings. The Browns recorded their biggest win of the season in their first game since releasing star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

There is some concerning news, though, for the Browns ahead of their meeting with the Pats. Running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton both tested positive for COVID-19 and are now major doubts for Sunday's game in New England.

They are both vaccinated, so there is still a chance they can suit up for that game, with each player needing two negative tests 24 hours apart to play. Losing Chubb would be a huge blow for the Browns as he is coming off a superb performance against the Bengals. He ran for 137 yards and a couple of touchdowns in Week 9.

The Browns will fancy their chances this coming weekend as the Patriots have struggled at home this season. New England is just 1-4 at Gillette Stadium, with the Pats' lone victory coming against the hapless New York Jets.

New England Patriots enter Week 10 as -1.5 favorites

The New England Patriots extended their winning streak to three games with an impressive 24-6 victory over the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium. It was a critical victory for the Patriots, who gained some ground on the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East standings, trailing them by just a half-game heading into Week 10.

For the Patriots to continue their hot streak against the Browns, they will need to continue their excellent play on the defensive end. They put the clamps on Sam Darnold all afternoon long in Week 9, limiting him to just 172 passing yards. The Patriots also intercepted three of his passes, including one that was returned 88 yards for a touchdown by J.C. Jackson that all but sealed the win for New England.

Bill Belichick improved to 4-0 in his career when facing a Darnold-led team. Things are bound to get more challenging for the Pats in Week 10 against the Browns, who racked up 361 total yards in the win against Cincinnati.
