Two popular teams will lock horns on this week's edition of Sunday Night Football as the Las Vegas Raiders host the Kansas City Chiefs at the Allegiant Stadium. Which side will record the victory in this AFC West showdown? Here's our preview of the Chiefs vs Raiders clash.

Kansas City Chiefs installed as -2.5 favorites

The Kansas City Chiefs may have won their second straight game against the Green Bay Packers, but they still looked out of sorts in that Week 9 clash. The Chiefs managed to put up just 237 total yards of offense in their narrow 13-7 win over the Packers, their lowest of the season.

That is also the lowest for the Chiefs since Patrick Mahomes became their starting quarterback. He struggled mightily in the win against the Packers, completing just 20 of 37 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. Mahomes averaged a career-low 4.5 yards per attempt in that victory.

Mahomes' 54.1% completion rate was his third-lowest in a regular season game and the 166 passing yards that he recorded were the lowest for the former Super Bowl MVP in a full game. Fortunately for the Chiefs, they were still able to pull off the win as the Packers also struggled to put points on the board with Aaron Rodgers sidelined due to COVID-19.

The Chiefs' defense stifled Jordan Love in his first career NFL start, limiting the Packers quarterback to just 190 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. That defensive effort helped Kansas City win its first NFL game in the Mahomes era when scoring 13 or fewer points.

Las Vegas Raiders enter Week 10 as +2.5 underdogs

The Las Vegas Raiders had their two-game winning streak snapped in Week 9 with a 23-16 loss to the New York Giants. The Raiders had no answer for Giants safety Xavier McKinney, who recorded two interceptions on Sunday, including a 41-yard pick-six.

It is back to the drawing board for the Raiders, who now share the AFC West lead with the Los Angeles Chargers with both teams carrying similar 5-3 records. For Las Vegas to get its season back on track against Kansas City, it needs to get a quality performance from Derek Carr.

He struggled mightily in the loss to the Giants, completing just 30 of 46 passes for 296 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. This was the first game of the Raiders since the release of Henry Ruggs, who is facing 46 years in prison for his involvement in a deadly DUI crash.

The good news for the Raiders is that help is on the way with wide receiver DeSean Jackson set to join the team for Week 10. He caught eight passes for 221 yards with a score in seven games played for the Rams this campaign.
