St. Louis fell to Los Angeles in six games in the opening round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs when the Blues raced out to a 2-0 series lead before the Kings won four straight games to take it in six games.

The Blues suffered a Thanksgiving hangover and their five-game winning streak was snapped in San Jose when the team lost to the Sharks 6-3 on Friday.

"Tough to say what happened, one way or the other," defenseman Ian Cole told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Sunday. "But it's obviously not acceptable, regardless of what time of day it is or what holiday it was the day before."

The Kings were close to extending their point streak to 12 consecutive games, but a late goal by the Calgary Flames in regulation ended the Kings' streak of 11 straight games with at least one point as the team lost 2-1 Saturday night.

"I think Scrivs [goalie Ben Scrivens] said it best ... park it and move on," defenseman Willie Mitchell told LA Kings Insider on Sunday. "As [Kings coach] Darryl [Sutter] says, park and ride, right? He said it best. We've done that since he's been here with games we've won, and I think you've got to do that with games you lose."

Scrivens is 6-2-4 and has been great as a replacement for Jonathan Quick (groin) while boasting a 1.52 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage. Jaroslav Halak has started the majority of the games for the Blues, posting a 14-3-2 record with a 2.12 GAA and a .915 save percentage.

Los Angeles has been led on the score sheet by Anze Kopitar, who has 24 points off of seven goals and 17 assists while Mike Richards has six tallies and 14 helpers for 20 points and Justin Williams has found the twine 10 times and added nine assists for 19 points.

For St. Louis, Alex Steen has 31 points off of 20 goals and 11 assists while David Backes has found the back of the net 12 times and added 13 helpers for 25 points and T.J. Oshie has lit the lamp four times and added 18 assists for 22 points.

The Blues try to embark on a new winning streak while Los Angeles seeks out a new point streak when the puck drops at Staples Center in Los Angeles tonight.
