Plaxico Burress Sued By New Jersey Couple After Pitbull Attack On Woman [VIDEO]

A New Jersey neighbor of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress is suing the NFL veteran claiming his pit bull attacked her and caused permanent injuries to her head, body and limbs.

According to TMZ, the husband of alleged victim Gina Stasinos has also filed suit against Burress claiming the attack has caused him to lose out on the "services" and "companionship" of his wife.

The website reports the suit asserts Stasinos was walking near Burress' Totowa mansion last May when his dog got loose and attacked her. In addition to the physical injuries, she claims the attack has also caused her severe pain and mental anguish and is suing for unspecified damages.

TMZ previously reported Burress was sued in 2012 by a woman who claimed he rear-ended her in his Mercedes. A judge ultimately ordered him to pay Alise Smith $159,000 in damages and the website reports he sold a mansion he owned in Virginia Beach to make good on the payment.

Burress also previously served almost two-years in prison on gun charges after accidentally shooting himself in a Manhattan nightclub in 2008. In all, Burress has played 12 NFL seasons and amassed 553 catches for 8, 499 yards and 64 touchdowns.
