Steph Curry guaranteed himself another huge payday, landing a mammoth $215 million, four-year extension with the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday that takes the three-time NBA champion through the 2025-26 season.

Octagon's Jeff Austin, who is Curry's agent, confirmed the new contract for the two-time league MVP, who would have been entering the final year of his previous megabucks deal. To break down Steph Curry's new contract extension, the All-Star guard will earn $48 million for the 2022-23 season and then $51.9 million in the '23-'24 campaign. Curry will then get to pocket $55.7 million in the '24-'25 season before picking up a whopping $59.6 million in the final year of the deal.

Curry earns huge extension after fantastic 2020-21 season

Curry's contract extension comes on the heels of one of his best seasons in the NBA. The 33-year-old averaged 32.0 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in the 2020-21 season, leading the Warriors to a spot in the play-in tournament despite playing the entire campaign without Splash Brother Klay Thompson, who injured his Achilles before the start of the season.

Curry embraced the challenge, though, shooting an incredible 42.1 percent from deep despite opposing teams focusing their defense on him. Curry entered the 2020-21 season with so much uncertainty after playing just five games during the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 campaign due to a broken left hand.

Curry made it known back in December that he wanted to play with the Golden State Warriors until he is 40 years old. Talks ratcheted up soon after, with Curry agreeing to a new deal before starting his 13th season in the league.

Curry makes history with second $200-million contract

Curry made history with his latest contract extension as he became the first NBA player to secure multiple $200-million deals. He is estimated to pocket close to a whopping $500 million for basketball earnings minus taxes once his current contract is done by 2026. He may earn more than that, given that he already announced his intention to play until his 40th birthday in 2028.

As far as the Golden State Warriors are concerned, Curry fully deserves the monster deals that have come his way. He started at the bottom with the Warriors when he was drafted seventh overall by Golden State in 2009. Curry helped the Warriors transform into an NBA juggernaut, leading the ballclub to five consecutive NBA Finals appearances and three championship titles in 2015, 2017, and 2018.

Thanks to Curry and his burgeoning popularity, the value of the Warriors also skyrocketed. Owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber paid $450 million to acquire the Warriors back in 2010, but now the franchise's value is estimated to be an NBA-high $4.7 billion.
