Anthony Bennett No. 1 Pick Struggles: Cavs to Move him to Small Forward? [VIDEO]

The struggles of Anthony Bennett, this year's overall top draft pick, are so embarrassing that even undrafted rookies like his Cavaliers teammate Matthew Dellavedova are scoring more than him.

Bennett, drafted No. 1 out of UNLV, could be on his way to becoming the worst top pick in league history with averages of 2.2 points a game on 22 percent field goal shooting and 2.6 rebounds a game. His undrafted teammate Dellavedova is scoring 3.5 points a game. He also has the same number of turnovers as his teammate C.J. Miles despite playing in less than half as many minutes.

According to reports, the sluggish start means Bennett could slide down to the small forward spot to help him cope with the physical play in the NBA.

According to Ohio.com, Mike Brown has considered the idea of playing Bennett at small forward given suggestions from a number of people within the organization who had envisioned Bennett as a 'three' instead of a 'four.'

In fact, Bennett did play at small forward against the Boston Celtics on Friday (November 29) for several minutes. But the slower rookie fared miserably guarding Jeff Green, who scored eight points against him.

Still, with the record of the Cavs (5-12), Brown is not closing his doors on the idea no mater how absurd it may sound.

"He hadn't had a lot of reps at it at all, so for us it was an experiment," Brown said. "We may continue to experiment with him there at times. Obviously, it's going to be a work in progress."
