Three-time NBA champion LeBron James is set to make a decision on his future with the Cleveland Cavaliers before June 30.

The 33-year-old James who led the Miami Heat in winning the 2012 and 2013 titles returned to Cleveland in 2014 to join Kevin Love. In his return to the Cavaliers, James led his hometown into four straight finals appearances while eventually winning the 2016 NBA title.

During the 2016 NBA Finals, James provided a dazzling show as he averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.3 steals, and 2.3 blocks to help the Cavaliers overcome a 3-1 series deficit against the Golden State Warriors. James was ultimately named as the Finals Most Valuable Player.

James pioneered the Cavaliers back into the finals in the next two years, but it wasn't the result the team had hoped for. The Warriors got back at the Cavaliers by beating them in five games in the 2017 NBA finals before sweeping them in this year's match.

With less than two weeks on his much-awaited decision, Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal gave James a piece of advice citing that the 15-year veteran should stop chasing championships. O'Neal led the Los Angeles Lakers in winning three championships before adding another one with the Heat.

"Somebody told me a long time ago they said your book is already set. You can add index pages toward the end, but your book is already set. So LeBron's book is already set," O'Neal said.

In his illustrious career, James has been selected as part of the NBA All-Star team for 14 times while bagging three All-Star Game Most Valuable Player plaques, and four NBA MVP awards. James is also a three-time Finals MVP, a scoring champion, a 14-time All-NBA member, and a six-time All-Defensive team member.

James To The Lakers

Several sources argue that for the LA Lakers to get James, it must perform a sign-and-trade deal. Court general Lonzo Ball has constantly been linked to a possible deal that would send the agile point guard to the Cavaliers for James. With enough cap space, the Lakers have the potential to make such deal work, but experts believe that the Cavaliers would want more in exchange for James.

The 20-year-old Ball has shown some flashes of brilliance in his first year with the Lakers averaging 10.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. However, Ball's shot selection has raised red flags as the Anaheim, California native shot a terrible 36 percent from the field this season.
