Lindsey Vonn's crash that has her sidelined again with a partial tear of her already surgically repaired right knee came when she was traveling at least 60 mph in conditions described as "hard to see."

"It was just a normal downhill fall," U.S. Ski Team head women's coach Alex Hoedelmoser told the Denver Post of Lindsey Vonn's crash. "It was a big turn, a little bit of a compression turn, but nothing out of the ordinary. The challenge was that it was a sunny day, and that gate was in the shade, so it was kind of hard to see."

Vonn, 29, previously tore her ACL, MCL and fractured her lateral tibial plateau in World Championship games early last year and was hoping to return to competition this season. Thus far, no timetable has been given as to when she might now return.

"Of course you are worried," Hoedelmoser told The Post. "It's a downhill crash at high speeds. Vonn currently only needs three more victories to tie the all-time women's record for most World Cup victories at 62.

"It totally depends on however she is feeling, and when we get the medical clearance," Hoedelmoser told The Post as to when Vonn might return to the slopes. "I'm not the doctor, so I can't really estimate on that."

Woods and Vonn have not been publicly dating for more than a year and she has raved about their compatibility based on both their competitive natures.
