HTC 11, also referred as HTC U or HTC Ocean, was expected to be the launch of the year for the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturing company. Several brilliant budgets and heavy feature loaded smartphones were launched by HTC in the recent times.

HTC had confirmed that their highly awaited smartphone, HTC 11, will be released on May 16, 2017. There are expectations that the launch will take place at 7 am in London, 2 am in New York, and 2 pm in Taipei.

The Verge received an invitation to an event on May 16, 2017, according to which the HTC U will be presented in New York, London and Taipei simultaneously. The event's tagline: "Squeeze for the Brilliant". This refers to a new concept that HTC has been trying out, which allows the user to squeeze the phone's sides to launch certain functions.

Specs & Features of HTC 11

HTC has always been a trademark in presenting several high-end features in its smartphones. The same is expected out of the greatly anticipated HTC 11. Several noteworthy hardware and software upgrades for HTC's 2017 flagship are expected. Reports have suggested that two different variants, the difference in sizes, will be launched. As per the latest leaks and inputs from numerous sources, the smartphone will feature the following features:

HTC 11 or HTC U Display: The first one will be having the 5.2 inch of Full HD Super LCD5 capacitive touchscreen display with the 2560 x 1440 pixels of the Quad HD resolutions. While the other one will be featuring the 5.5 inch of Full HD same Quad HD display resolutions.

HTC 11 or HTC U: Storage: The first one will be featuring the 4 GB of RAM with the 32 GB and 64 GB of internal inbuilt memory, while the second one will have the 6 GB of RAM with the presence of the 128 GB of the internal storage capacity. The microSD card slot will be expandable up to 256 GB.

HTC 11 or HTC U Camera: HTC 11 camera unit is said to have 12 MP of the Ultra Pixel quality rear facing the camera with phase detection laser autofocus, touch focus, face and smile detection, HDR, panorama, 4K of HD video recording and Dual toned Dual LED Flashlight features. For selfies, 5 MP of the wide angled front-facing selfie shooter with enhanced beauty mode built in.

HTC 11 or HTC U add-on features: Both the variants are coming with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. They will be water resistant and have dust-proof technology too. It will be having the 4G LTE and 4G VoLTE support too as the top network carrier connectivity.
