"Overwatch" is Blizzard' hottest IP that features a unique blend of MOBA and competitive multiplayer first person shooting. However, one of the game's criticisms is directed towards its lack of content. The game during launch only featured a couple of modes and stages that is less than what the typical first person shooter game would offer. Fortunately, Blizzard has been busy updating the game, adding more stages, characters, modes and even hosting a few events that made the game a complete package.

And it looks like, Blizzard will be continuing to support "Overwatch" as it plans for a big update this coming week. According to IGN the official Blizzard Twitter account for Australia and New Zealand posted a brief video that seems to suggest an upcoming event. The video is accompanied by a message that says: "Initiating archive declassification... Mission files unlock: 12 April."

The teaser video however, did not reveal anything specific pertaining to "Overwatch." But Express has some ideas on what the teaser may bring to gamers next week. According to the report, the teaser points to something related to a King's Road Uprising event that took place seven years ago. It may be a reference to the game's popular map which has been going on some aesthetic changes.

There's also speculation that the update will explore the backstory of "Overwatch." The game has so far been lacking in the story department but there are tidbits of it in some aspects of the game. A reference to a past event could mean that the game may be revealing more of its story.

Meanwhile, "Overwatch" lead character artist Renaud Galand made a follow-up post regarding the upcoming reveal. The artist claims that the update is the best thing Blizzard has done since the game's launch last year. And since Galland is involved in the tease, maybe fans can now see the launch of the long-rumored Doomfist who fans believe is a new character.

It also worth noting that Easter is on April 16 which makes the April 12 reveal a perfect time for an event. "Overwatch" has been known to host timed events centered on holidays as the developers have featured, Halloween and Chinese new year events.
