Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez helped the Brooklyn Nets start the final month of the regular season with two wins in a row. The Nets defeated the Atlanta Hawks 91-82 on Sunday, April 2 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Nets head coach had nothing but praise for Lin and Lopez after the game. He told the New York Daily Nets in an interview after the game against the Hawks that his two stars set the tone for the entire team and it led to the much-deserved victory.

"That's kind of why they're your two best players. There's just a mentality, I was saying that about Brook. Brook after a bad game or a not-good shooting game like Detroit, he's going to come back and bring it the next game. They set the tone; I thought Jeremy and Brook really set the tone," Atkinson said.

Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez combined for a total of 44 points, 29 of which came in the first quarter. It definitely set the tone for the Nets as they just kept the Hawks at bay. Trevor Booker iced the game with a layup with just 28 seconds left after receiving a beautiful pass from Lin.

Lopez was just three steals shy of recording a five-by-five. He finished the game with 29 points, five rebounds, five assists, five blocks and two steals, per NBA.com. Jeremy Lin added 15 points, six rebounds and six assists.

The Nets now have a record of 18-59 and the 20-win mark is very attainable. On the other hand, Dennis Schroeder led the Hawks with 16 points, five rebounds, eight assists and two steals while Dwight Howard put up a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Paul Millsap, who is coming off an injury, came off the bench to score 14 points in 25 minutes. The Hawks have now lost eight of their last ten games. They also dropped down to sixth place in the East as the Milwaukee Bucks have a full game lead over them with less than ten games remaining in the season.
