Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy have been linked to a return to the WWE for a couple of months now. They are reportedly in talks with the company about a possible deal. The latest WWE rumors point out to a return at WrestleMania 33 and challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Live Tag Team championships.

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, the WWE have officially offered Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy contracts. The report noted that the former Hardy Boyz are going to sign the deal and return to the WWE.

Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy were in talks with the WWE last month but no deal was reached. They signed a short-term contract with Ring of Honor instead, and win the ROH Tag Team Titles from The Young Bucks.

But since the deal with ROH is short-term and the WWE is rumored to be buying the promotion from Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy are expected to return to the company that made them famous. Matt's last appearance for the WWE was in 2010 while Jeff left in 2009.

One of the possible dates for the return of Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy is at WrestleMania 33. Cageside Seats reported that The Hardy Boyz could challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Live Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 33.

The Usos defeated American Alpha this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live to win the SmackDown Tag Team championships. They then made a challenge for any team to face them at WrestleMania 33 and Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy could answer it.

The WWE surprisingly removed the tag titles from American Alpha as they did not have a very good run as champions. One reason is the company wants heel champions so that Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy go over as babyfaces when they return at WrestleMania 33 or even at the SmackDown Live after the big event.
