Another year marks another upgrade for Samsung's flagship smartphones. Annual upgrades to flagship devices usually feature incremental improvements to its battery, camera, and processor. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will take these upgrades a step further.

The smartphone market has now matured that there's little left for innovation. Samsung, on the other hand, will play to its strengths for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.

When it comes to smartphone displays, Samsung is the undisputed king. The tech company is the worldwide leader in display manufacturing. Their flagship smartphones that feature their latest display tech, showcases their expertise in the field. As such, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+will do the same but this time, it will come in three settings.

WCCFtech reports that leaked images show that both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will feature 3 display settings that vary in resolution. The display setting includes the HD+, FHD+ and the WQHD+.

The HD+ will sport a resolution of 1480x720 while the FHD+ with 2220x1090. Lastly, the WQHD+ will have a resolution of 2960x1440 for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The changes in pixel count will help conserve battery for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. Users can switch to a lower pixel resolution when web browsing as the higher resolutions will not be advantageous. On the other hand, users can switch back to a higher resolution when taking pictures or watching movies to make full use of the increase in pixels.

Furthermore, the leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ confirmed several rumors for the flagship phone. One of which is the 18:5:9 aspect ratio. One of the pictures also shows a button-free front and reduced bezels.

Meanwhile, a report from Techno Buffalo showcase the packaging contents of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. Besides the usual charger and the rumored AKG earphones, the box will also include a micro USB and USB connector. This is similar to what was included in the Galaxy Note 7.
