UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor is ready to put pen to paper on a contract that will confirm his fight against Floyd Mayweather.

It has been boiling from the past few months, McGregor has been negotiating with retired boxing king Floyd Mayweather and the two sides are attempting to agree on a common deal that will confirm one of the biggest fights in sports history to take place.

There has been rumors flying out that both sides are not able to agree to a common deal on a financial split for the profits of the fight. But, from the past few it looks confirmed that McGregor will sign the deal very soon which will make him the superstar earning the highest payday of his entire boxing career.

McGregor revealed that he is ready for the fight, he is excited and fully prepared. They are very close to put pen to paper on the contract. McGregor earlier said that the date for his fight against Floyd Mayweather might be mid-September and the venue will be Las Vegas. But the September date can only be confirmed if both sides agree to the contract in near future.

McGregor is also expected to move to Las Vegas for the fight after birth of his first child in late April or early May. The UFC Lightweight champion's matchup with Floyd Mayweather will be his first in his boxing career but he is super confident he will get one over the boxing king.

But, if we see the record of Floyd Mayweather, he has a 49-0 record before he retired from boxing. This certainly makes McGregor the underdog going into the fight. Mayweather retired back in 2015. But, since then McGregor has proved many critics wrong about him and his bold proclamations has been true so far in UFC. Definitely, this will be the biggest proclamation and he would love to make it right too.
