Jameis Winston Sex Case: Was Sex Between Florida State Star Alleged Victim Consensual? [VIDEO]

The attorney for Florida State star quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Jameis Winston now says the sexual encounter between his client and the woman now accusing him for sexual assault was consensual.

In the wake of media reports Winston's DNA was found on the alleged victim's underwear, lead defense Tim Jansen told Al.com "absolutely" when asked if the sex between his client and his now accuser was consensual. "I'm saying that the eyewitnesses who were there will verify that any material that was found or any evidence that was found is consistent with him doing nothing wrong."

Jansen also criticized both the Tallahassee Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for what he said would be an illegal leak of the results of the DNA analysis to the media. According to media reports, the likelihood that the DNA in the accuser's underwear could match anyone other than Winston is 1 in 2.2 trillion.

"I don't think it's a secret what the defense is when I tell you that we are not surprised his DNA was found," Jansen said. "We anticipated it would be found. We never, ever said he wasn't there."
